Maximizing Business Profits – Diversifying Operations

Doing well in business hinges on many different factors that set apart a good business from a terrible one. Failing in business is often a marginal thing, the difference between a few twenty dollar bills a month that tip the scales between costs and profit in a business. That is why business owners are constantly scrambling in order to find better and more effective ways to increase their profits and cut their costs. One of the most effective ways for a business owner to do just that, is to examine their business and to imagine where they can expand. A static business is not a good business, you want it to grow and change like a living organism with the society that it is a part of. This growth comes from broadening your horizons and your reach by diversifying your products and services that you offer. You have seen this many times before, Mcdonalds once only sold hamburgers, and now has a diverse menu that has everything from iced coffee to pastries and ice cream. This is an example of maximizing profits by diversifying their services and reaching out to a broader demographic and a wider audience in general.

By following the example set by more successful businesses, you can help make your business the profit-generating behemoth it deserves to be. This is all about seeing what is reasonable and practical for your business to expand into. For instance, an oil company probably should reach out into sustainable energy projects, while not into the food industry.

Joby Schraier says that the key to good business is diversifying your services and products.

Finance – Tips To help The New Business Owner

Many new business owners are very familiar with all of the costs that are associated with opening a business, whether it be in the form of loans or employee salaries, supplies for products, the list goes on. That is why one of the most important abilities in a business owner’s repertoire comes down to his understanding of finance and budgeting. A successful business is one that is able to self-sustain, meaning that it can operate entirely on its own, generating enough profits to cover the cost of running it. After you have met that minimum requirement, there is the desire for your business to grow in a sustained manner over a long period of time. Only a good business will be able to grow their profit margins over time, luckily, good financial management can help with that. One of the best ways to become self-sufficient in your business and maximize profits is to make sure that you are cutting unnecessary and hidden costs. This can be done by making sure that your employees are well trained, not wasting product, and have a good attitude and management team so that they are following the methods you have suggested.

Squeezing profits out of your business isn’t about cutting corners, but actually preventing corner-cutting mentalities that often end up costing the owner money, instead of saving it. A good business owner needs to be thorough with his policy and assure that his employees are following a cohesive strategy.

The Value of Buying a Certified Pre-Owned Vehicle

Driving a certified pre-owned vehicle means satisfaction, peace of mind and safety for all your concerns when buying a used vehicle. Certified pre-owned vehicles will have a maximum mileage care warranty, including both a limited power train warranty and a lifetime certified upgrade plan. This offering should never fall short of those key factors.

Never buy a certified pre-owned vehicle if it hasn’t been put through a 125-point inspection. This inspection means the dealership has put the vehicle to the test with a highly detailed 125-point inspection, one that includes qualification standards, mechanical standards, ownership materials, maintenance standards, details and appearance standards. Also, if you happen to have car problems and need to have your car serviced, then most certified pre-owned offers will include car rental allowance.

You should always inquire about a Carfax vehicle history report, which documents of the vehicles clear of any prior title obligations. A Carfax vehicle history report will also help you avoid buying a used car with DMV-reported incidents, such as flood damage, fire, salvage title, odometer problems or lemon law history. Only the best dealerships offer roadside coverage, that which includes 24-hour flat tire service, gas delivery, battery jump assistance and more importantly lockout service. Let’s face it, sometimes we are forgetful, and being locked out of your car on a cold night is no fun.

If you’re planning on buying a used vehicle, then you will want to consider buying a certified pre-owned vehicle before buying from a private owner.

Joby Schraier – Chicago

Joby Schraier has explored every major city in the United States; and Chicago remains in his top three as one of the coolest cities he has ever visited. The Windy City is known for its friendly people, outstanding architecture and deep-dish pizza. Lucky for him, he got to experience the best of all three while on his trip.

Joby Schraier’s first stop upon driving into the city was the harbor, where he boarded a boat for an architecture tour. Much of Chicago’s most impressive displays of architecture are lined up along the city’s waterside area, making a boat tour the perfect way to float around while you hear stories about all of them.

Next, was Joby Schraier’s journey to find the perfect deep dish pizza. He achieved this goal at Paizano’s, a local favorite for pizza that is locate in the downtown business district. He got more than he even bargained for at Paizano’s; not only was the pizza incredible, but the people he encountered while there made the experience that much more worthwhile. He had a waitress of bigger size who had to keep squeezing by him to get to the other customers. He politely scooted every time as if it didn’t bother him. After his pizza, the waitress surprised him with a free dessert and beer, thanking him for his kindness and courteous nature.

Joby Schraier was touched by the gesture, which caught the attention of those around him and eventually struck up conversation. And that’s how he also earned himself a night on the town with some local, friendly tour guides.

Joby Schraier – New York

Joby Schraier remembers the first time he crossed the Brooklyn Bridge as if it were yesterday. He was on a business trip, going to consult with a new auto parts shop that was opening in Long Island. He was driving in early in the morning, and he had not spent much time in the city before, so he took a few voluntary detours and checked out all that the area had to offer. He didn’t have his meeting until later in the day, so he took full advantage of the time available to him.

First, he parked his car right outside of Union Station and hopped on the metro. He first took a walk around Central Park to ease his legs after the drive. A few hours had passed, and he had worked up an appetite. He went over to Greenwich Village and had a bagel with an espresso at a street side café. He struck up conversation with the waitress, who told him he should wait until night to go see Times Square because it would be more scenic then, with the lights and all. She then recommended he goes to Chinatown for lunch and gets a taste of the diversity of the city.

So Joby Schraier did exactly that; and it had turned out his client wanted to take him out that night in Times Square, so it worked out perfectly. With his soon-to-be successful new friend by his side, he was given a proper tour of the city’s dining and nightlife.

Joby Schraier – South Carolina

Joby Schraier’s experience in North Carolina got him in touch with his wild side, but when he got to South Carolina, he embraced a much more elegant take on the South. He crossed into the state right outside of Myrtle Beach, where he was booked for a weekend on a country club. South Carolina has been host to multiple PGA Tours, and has some of the best golfing in the country concentrated in an area full of championship courses.

Each day,  Joby Schraier would get up and start his day with playing 18 holes right after a light breakfast. By lunchtime, he would be making his way toward the ocean, but still finding a small ma-and-pa barbeque stand to sample all he could of that vinegary BBQ flavor. He relaxed on the shores throughout the late afternoon and read books as he worked don his tan. Then, he would end the day with a seaside seafood feast, usually including a fresh catch of the day and the accompaniment of a glass of red wine.

After leaving Myrtle Beach, Joby Schraier walked through the historic downtown of Charleston and then made his way back to the coast, this time going to Hilton Head for a similar routine that he enjoyed so much while in Myrtle. Joby Schraier really enjoyed his time in South Carolina, and his golf game benefitted greatly from all the practice he got on championship courses all over the state. To this day, it was his most memorable golfing trip ever.
